What's new at ÉLES this Week:
🌭 Hot Dog Sale Success: A HUGE Thank You! Thank you to our amazing ÉLES community for your overwhelming support of Monday's Hot Dog Sale! Our Grade 6 students raised over $700 for their year-end trip to Camp Yowochas. We also want to send a massive thank you to the ÉLES Fundraising Society and Township Dental, who are generously contributing to ensure the remainder of the field trip costs are completely covered!
🎵 Music Extravaganzas: A Huge Success! A massive thank you to our wonderful music teacher, Mme Clark, and to all the staff and students who made last week's Music Extravaganzas such a huge success! The students put on absolutely wonderful performances, and we are so proud to see all their hard work shine on stage.
📝 Grade 6 PATs & Bell Schedule Changes
This week, our Grade 6 students will be writing their Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) on May 19 (French) and May 22 (English).
- To ensure a quiet testing environment, indoor bells will be turned off on these days, and teachers will communicate with their classes about recess times.
- Note: Exterior bells will still ring so students outside know when it is time to come back in. Good luck to our Grade 6s!
🧁 2E Bake Sale: Time Change - Please note that the upcoming Bake Sale for 2E will be held in the afternoon rather than the morning. This small schedule change ensures that our Grade 6 students have a chance to buy some delicious baked goods after they finish writing their exams!
🌌 The Wonder Dome is Coming! We are so excited to bring the Wonder Dome to ÉLES on Friday, May 22! This inflatable planetarium will be set up in the gym, giving our Grade 1–5 students the chance to experience engaging, curriculum-aligned space shows right here at school.
🏠 Moving This Summer?
As we plan for next year, please notify the front office ASAP if your child will not be returning to ÉLES in the fall.
Have a wonderful long weekend!
